Scott Wright, a proud Arizonan for over 48 years, is the president of Wright Engineering Corporation and a seasoned professional electrical engineer with more than three decades of experience in electrical design engineering. Growing up under the wide desert skies, Scott developed a deep appreciation for how light shapes the environment, an insight that has guided his career, particularly in exterior lighting development. As the engineering lead, he has successfully completed hundreds of electrical design projects across the Southwest. A dedicated member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) since 2002, Scott contributes to numerous IES committees and serves in leadership roles at both local and regional levels. His work spans streetscapes, municipal street lighting upgrades, regional parks, sports complexes, decorative landscapes, and pedestrian-oriented spaces; projects that reflect his enduring commitment to enhancing the communities he’s called home for nearly five decades.
